What exactly is your business?
Which of these 4 descriptions fits you?

Is it a job?  Hopefully high paying but largely or wholly dependent on you. If it depends on you, then you cannot depend on it.

Think hard about that statement.  It should send shivers down your spine.

Everything you've worked so hard to build is at extreme risk. You do not have a saleable business at all. Potential buyers will examine your business and walk away.

Is it your baby?  Your pride and joy, perfectly understandable after all you suffered labor pains while birthing it.  You are emotionally invested in it.  But its needs and your needs change.  Nobody wants to pay a kings ransom to buy a child let alone a baby.  Your business must demonstrate maturity to bring you the maximum pay out.
